Volunteers are always needed and appreciated at Century Elementary School! You can volunteer your services by calling 218-237-6200 or by calling a PTA representative at 218-237-6360 and leaving a message.
We are saving General Mills Box Tops for Education, which can be found on cereal, fruit snacks and other boxes. Please send these to the Century Media Center. Each box top nets the school 10 cents. All proceeds are used to purchase library books for the school. The General Mills Box Tops program internet site is: http://www.boxtops4education.com.
Ink Cartridge Recycling
We are participating in the Funding Factory Recycling Program, which provides containers to collect used inkjet and laser printer cartridges. Each cartridge mailed in qualifies the school for bonus points, which can be used for purchasing computer equipment. Several area businesses are helping us by collecting their used cartridges and turning them in to the school media centers. Our thanks to Straight River Engineering, Citizens National Bank, North Star Orthodontics, and many other area businesses for their help! Please drop your used ink cartridges off at any school media center.
Campbell's Soup Labels
Soup labels are saved by the Century Elementary Media Center. All label proceeds go toward the purchase of computer software for the elementary schools. Labels are collected in several grocery stores and at the Century Media Center. The Campbell's Soup Labels internet site is: http://www.labelsforeducation.com/.
Target Bonus Programs
The elementary schools also are participating in programs offered by Target. You may sign up for the Target program at any Target location or on the Target website. All proceeds go toward a variety of school activities. The Target internet site is: http://www.target.com/.
Scholastic Book Fairs
Scholastic Book Fairs are held at the Century School in the fall and the spring of each school year. Profits are used to buy new books for the schools. You may call PTA at 218-237-6360 for more information.
