    Daily Bulletin for October 19, 2021

     

    1. After school tutoring will begin today in the media center. Tutoring will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30.
    2. Seniors, cap & gown order deadline is Wednesday, October 20. Be sure to check your email, Mr. Johnson sent out an email with the order information from the meeting yesterday.
    3. Our next informational meeting for speech will be Wednesday, October 27 in room 904 after school. Officers will be elected and ice cream will be served. Even if you are just curious, come and check us out!
    4. Prom committee will be meeting on Wednesday, October 27th at 7:30am in señora Simon’s room 903. We will be discussing theme options, fundraising possibilities, and electing officers. Even if you didn’t come to our first meeting, you’re still welcome to join! The more the merrier! 
    5. Student council is sponsoring a costume contest on Friday, October 29th. Costumes need to be mostly homemade, appropriate, and can’t include anything that completely covers the face. See Mrs. Johnson if you have questions.
    6. The October FFA meeting will take place today after school in Mr. Funk's room. Bring a pumpkin or squash to cook or carve.
    7. Let's show our support for our swimmers as they head to True Team State; wear your orange and black on Wednesday.

    4. Seniors, we have 48 students have all their information in for the yearbook. We need the remaining class to turn in their photos.  Starting next week, we will use your images from last year or possibly the Caulfield’s photo from this fall.  Please turn in your pictures by this weekend.

    8. The girls swimming and diving team won the Section 8A true team meet on Saturday.  They qualified for the Minnesota State True Team Championship with will be held this Thursday at the University of Minnesota. Congratulations to all the girls.

    1. Just a reminder of our combined rehearsal with the choir. Please excuse the band students to the auditorium 6th period.

    6. Congrats to the Panther Boys and Girls Cross Country teams on a big afternoon in DL at the Mid-State Conference Meet yesterday. Morgan Koppelman and Julia Harmon finished in the top 15 and earned All-Conference Honorable Mention in the Girls Varsity race. Logan Maanum and Blain Hesel finished in the top 15 and earned All-Conference Honorable Mention in the Boys Varsity race. Noah Huot, Eli Bervig, Darryl Etter, and Ephraim Bervig finished in the top 10 and earned All-Conference in the boy’s varsity race. Well done Boys Varsity team on being crowned Mid-State Champions and the Girls Varsity team on a very competitive and gusty 3rd place team finish. Congrats to all Panther Cross Country Athletes.

    3. Seniors, as of today we have 48 seniors who turned in their photos and information for the yearbook. We will substitute your photo with an image from last year or the Caufield picture that was take the first week of school.   Please turn in your picture that was taken this summer.
    4. Congratulations to Rachael Herman and Emily Schulz/Morgan Koppelman on their 1st round wins in the section Girls Tennis tournament yesterday. Congratulations also to Abby Morris and Mickey Clark/Macy Goochey for winning the 1st and 2nd rounds.  They will be moving on to the semifinals next Tuesday!

    1. Students, we have seen a rise in illnesses in our school and community, We encourage you to:

    *Carry a water bottle and only use the bottle filler on the drinking fountains.

    *Use hand sanitizer as you enter or exit the classroom.

    *Use handwashing/sanitation during key times including but not limited to: arrival and dismissal; before, during, and after preparing or eating food: after using the bathroom; after blowing one’s nose, coughing, or sneezing; after touching objects with bare hands that have been handled by other people.

    *Stay home when not feeling well.

    3. It’s superfan night tonight for our volleyball game. Wear orange. Free food will be served before varsity until its gone (hot dogs, chips, beverage)

    5. Our swimmers and divers are swimming against  Detroit Lakes tonight in our last dual meet.  Come support them and wear black!  We start swimming at 6:00.
