Hello! Welcome to the Early Childhood Special Education page. Here, you will find information about Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE), and the teachers involved with it!
Century Elementary/Frank White Preschool provides inclusive and comprehensive educational programs for students with disabilities. One of the main categories we work with in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) is Developmentally Delayed, or DD. Developmentally Delayed is a category that is used with children ages 0 to 7 years old, and is when the child's developmental lag is unknown.
Meet Ms. Carolyn:
Meet Ms. Addy:
Hi! My name is Addy Upton, and I am one of the ECSE teachers here at Frank White Preschool. I grew up on a lake in Pelican Rapids, MN and graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 2014. I continued my education at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where I majored in Early Childood Education and Early Childhood Special Education, and graduated with my degree in May 2018. When I'm not spending time with kiddos I like to read, go on walks, shop, and catch up on all of my favorite TV shows. I also love anything to do with being on the lake, including: pontooning, tubing, wakeboarding, floating, etc. I'm so excited to be here at Frank White Preschool, and to get to know your children!
