Bikes for Books |
Bikes for Books is a program sponsored by our local Mason Shell Lodge 184. The Masons are strong supporters of literacy throughout the country. As an incentive to encourage kids to read, they have offered to donate bikes to our Century School students who are reading. To be able to earn a bike, readers must be in grades 1-6 and active in the Accelerated Reader Program. The Accelerated Reader Program is used simply as a tool to be sure students are reading their books. To honor our readers, the Masons will present one bike at the end of each school year for each grade 1-6.
* The Bikes for Books program is not to be used in conjunction with report cards or class grades.
